Let’s work together to help your Florida Blue patients understand blood pressure
As you know, high blood pressure, or hypertension, increases the risk of heart disease or stroke, which is the leading cause of death in the United States.
Because controlling high blood pressure is an important step in preventing heart attacks, heart failure, strokes, and kidney disease, it’s important for patients to understand and monitor their blood pressure.
To help our members do just that, we are inviting them to participate in our clinical blood pressure program called Journey Through Your Heart. This program is a series of five classes. Members who sign up for the program are encouraged to attend all five classes to get the most out of the program.
The classes will be held every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. from May 18, 2016 to June 15, 2016 at a Tampa Bay area Florida Blue retail center.

Participants will receive a copy of the Understanding and Managing High Blood Pressure booklet available on the American Heart Association website.
